STATES NAVY
Karlton he has spent the last 12 years designing and implementing
successful physical training plans for the U. S. Navy’s
Fitness Enhancement Program.
Karlton
has received numerous awards for his contributions to
the program and its participants including two achievement
medals from the Secretary of the Navy.
After
joining the Navy his competitive experiences expanded
to include rugby, power lifting, triathlons, road racing,
jiu jitsu, body building, cycling, swimming and diving.
His
training and competitions have spanned Georgia, South
Carolina, California, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Florida, Bahrain,
Qatar, England, Iceland, Spain, Sicily, Turkey and Greece.
HUMAN SPORTS PERFORMANCE
TEAM
As an international athlete, Karlton has greatly benefited
from Dr. Ann de Wees Allen’s Human Maximum Performance
Program and has joined Dr. Allen’s Sports Performance
team (www.HumanSportsperformance.com) as a Certified Educator.
As
a Body Engineer and a Life Coach, Karlton holds certifications
in Massage Therapy, Personal Training and Biomechanics
of Resistance Training. He is currently completing his
BS in Sports and Health Science with a concentration in
Exercise Science.
Karlton
has a proclivity for efficiently and effectively helping
others reach their fitness goals, and has a combined total
of over 20 years of experience in the fitness and wellness
arena.
His
studies in massage therapy began in October 1998 at the
Georgia Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Augusta, Georgia
where he learned Basic Back and Neck Massage, Chair Massage
and Acupressure.
Karlton
has continued his studies at the Monterey Institute of
Touch in Carmel Valley, California where he learned Anatomy,
Physiology, Swedish Massage, Polarity, Shiatsu, Reflexology
and Sports Massage to earn his certification in May 1999.
He
has honed his skills in the U.S., Spain, Germany, Greece,
Turkey, Italy, Sicily, England, Qatar and Bahrain.
FAMILY
Karlton and his wife LeTrease married in 1989 in Pacific
Grove, California and they have one grown son, Terrell.
LeTrease entered her first bench press competition in
2004 when Karlton had the privilege of training her to
win her debut. They currently reside in Gary, Indiana.
